Biography

Mr. Shobhan Thakkar serves as Chief Business Officer and General Counsel at Forta. He serves as a Partner & Investor at Buena Vista Angels. He served as a Partner at Healthx Ventures. He also served as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at Tascet. With a background that includes working at a Big 4 accounting firm, in the New York City office of a global law firm, and as an attorney at Epic, He can hold his own on legal and accounting issues. But he also has extensive startup experience, leading a Madison tech company to a successful exit as general counsel, and being on the founding teams of several high-growth tech companies. Originally from the Chicago area, He moved to Madison to work as the general counsel for Weather Central, which was sold to the Weather Channel in 2011. He then joined Epic Systems as an attorney before leaving to join as a chief operating officer of a Madison health-tech company. He got his law degree and a master's in accounting from The Ohio State University. He also has degrees in finance and economics from the University of Illinois.
