Biography

Mr. Alexander Shakibnia serves as Managing Director & Member of the Investment Committee at Gemspring Capital. Prior to joining Gemspring, he spent three years at Friedman Fleischer and Lowe, a San Francisco-based middle-market private equity firm focused on executing both majority and minority growth equity investments. He has extensive experience structuring and executing transactions across a broad range of industries, most notably in the consumer and business services sectors. He began his career as an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse in Los Angeles. During this time, he focused on the execution of debt and equity transactions for companies in various sectors. He graduated cum laude from UCLA with B.A.s in Business Economics and Mathematics and a minor in Accounting. He also received an M.A. in Finance from the Robert Day School at Claremont McKenna College. He currently serves on the Board of Associates of the Robert Day School.
