Biography

Ms. Michelle Riley serves as Chief Compliance Officer at Bregal North America General Partners Jersey. She serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Bregal Sagemount. She served as a Board Member at Blue Harvest Fisheries. She serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Bregal Partners. She has served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer - Americas of the Bregal corporate investment group since 2007. Before joining Bregal, she was Vice President and Co-General Counsel of ICON Capital, a global asset manager and specialty finance company based in New York. Before joining ICON, she spent eight years as an M&A attorney at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, and Debevoise & Plimpton. She also spent a year serving as In-House Counsel to a 2004 U.S. Presidential Primary Campaign. She received her JD from Yale Law School, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Journal on Regulation. She also holds a BA in Political Communication from George Washington University and an MA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University, where she was a Shapiro Scholar.
