Biography

Dr. Bruno Ferrari served as Operating Director at Paine Schwartz Partners. Dr. Ferrari served as Chief Executive Officer at Seminis. Dr. Ferrari joined Paine Schwartz Partners as an Operating Director in 2013. Dr. Ferrari was previously an Operating Director at the Predecessor Firm and also CEO of Seminis, a Fund II portfolio company. Dr. Ferrari was most recently the Secretary of Economy in Mexico. He served from July 2010 to November 2013 and was responsible for a wide agenda, included the domestic economic policy and the international trade policy of Mexico. In 2007, Dr. Ferrari was invited by Mexican President Felipe Calderón to become part of his economic cabinet, responsible for the design and implementation of a strategy to foster economic activity leveraged in a broad international approach of business promotion and investments. He founded the Mexican Agency for trade and investment promotion, ProMexico, and was appointed CEO by President Felipe Calderon. Prior to his appointment, Dr. Ferrari served as Head of the Unit for Economic Relations and International Cooperation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico. Dr. Ferrari has had a successful career in a variety of industries focused on agribusiness in different parts of the world and has received numerous awards from governments including Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Colombia, Chile and the United States. Dr. Ferrari also previously held executive positions at Grupo Pulsar, one of the largest corporations in Mexico. Dr. Ferrari is a graduate of the Roman Academic Center of the Holy Cross (Ph.D. in law), the Escuela Libre de Derecho (J.D.) and Laternance University (Masters of Science in marriage and family law).
