Biography

Mr. Martin Weiss served as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at Hubert Burda Media Holding. Previously he was Executive Vice President Strategy and Corporate Development at international telecommunications and media company Millicom. Here, he was responsible for expanding and transforming the company's digital activities in Latin America, the USA and Africa. He was previously a Founding Partner at management consulting company Solon and ran their London office from 2008 to 2013. His work focused on developing digital growth strategies for international media companies and supporting leading private equity companies in mergers & acquisitions. From 1992 to 1996. He was with McKinsey. At present, he is currently Chairman of New Work SE (NWO: Xetra) and Chairman of Burda's Immediate Media Ltd (UK) and he served on the board of BPI portfolio company Vinted. Prior to joining Hubert Burda Media, he was a member of the executive team at international telecommunications and media company Millicom (NASDAQ:TIGO). There, he was in charge of the expansion and transformation of the company's digital activities in Latin America, the US and Africa. He was also the founder and partner of the strategy consulting firm Solon, heading its London office between 2008 and 2013.
