Biography

Mr. Richard Thompson is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Investment Officer and Principal at Resonant Capital Advisors. Mr. Thompson served as Vice President, First Business Trust & Investment at First Business Financial Services. Richard recently joined First Business Trust & Investments. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining First Business, he was a Financial Advisor at MorganStanley SmithBarney, where his duties included new business development, client service, and portfolio management. Richard began his career at U.S. Bank, where he held various financial and investment management positions including Senior Portfolio Manager for U.S. Bank Asset Management. In that role, he was responsible for managing taxable and tax-exempt portfolios for individuals, corporations, and foundations. A Madison native, Richard is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison, where he earned a degree in economics. He holds both the CFA and CFP designations. His charitable commitments include acting as Vice President of The Friends for Financial Literacy board and as Chairman of the board for Sharing Resources Worldwide.
