Biography

Mr. Peter Dunev served as Managing Partner at Prospect Street Ventures. He is senior member of the firm's investment committee. Mr. Dunev started his Wall Street career in 1972, at Bache & Co. in New York. In 1975, he was hired by Loeb Rhoades to join the International Department and develop institutional, commodity, and retail business in the Middle East. In 1977, he joined E.F. Hutton as a Senior Vice President and became a member of the Director's Advisory Council, a position he held during the 13 years he was with Hutton. Mr. Dunev was primarily responsible for helping his clients develop their overall investment strategy and managed their global trading portfolios, focusing primarily on natural resources and energy. Mr. Dunev traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and became an advisor in Middle Eastern energy policy to various governments and corporations around the world. In 1989, when E. F. Hutton was acquired by Shearson, Mr. Dunev joined Prudential Bache as a Senior Vice President, where he resumed his focus on natural resources while managing portfolios for his clients. In 1992, Mr. Dunev started Dunev Capital, where he concentrated on private equity and corporate finance throughout Latin America. In 1997, Mr. Dunev moved to London and Dunev Capital became D&B Capital Partners. In 1999, D&B Capital received a mandate from the World Solar Commission, a subsidiary of UNSECO, to structure a financial vehicle to help implement the World Solar Programme (1996-2005) and finance various renewable energy projects around the world. In 2001, Mr. Dunev moved his base of operations back to the United States where he founded Energy Capital, a venture catalyst and merchant banking firm in the field of new energy and power technologies. Mr. Dunev was a U.S. Marine Corps officer and a Naval Aviator. In 1968, he served a tour of duty as a helicopter pilot in the Republic of Viet Nam. Mr. Dunev is a member of the Business Council of the United Nations.
