Biography

Mr. Robert Gurman serves as Chief Financial Officer & Board Member at Green Island EV. Mr. Gurman serves as an Managing Director at Prospect Street Ventures. He serves as Managing Director of Finance and Development at EV Edison. He joined Prospect Street in 2002, bringing with him 20 years of experience in business as both an investment banker and principal in the electric power and energy technology sectors. Prior to PSV, Mr. Gurman ran his own investment banking firm, GurmanCapital.com, which provided analytical, financial, and implementation services for capital-intensive projects, as well as corporate finance and venture capital advisory services to energy technology companies. Mr. Gurman currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of two development-stage companies, both with advanced technology applications for the electric power industry. He also serves on the Board of one of those companies and has been nominated to the Board of a publicly registered real estate investment trust. Mr. Gurman serves on The Council of Energy Advisors of the Gerson Lehrman Group, and writes, lectures, and publishes extensively on many aspects of business and finance. Mr. Gurman previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Kamine International Power Corp. (1996-2000), and before that held a variety of senior investment banking positions in his 14 years at SBC Warburg (now UBS Warburg, 1982-1996). Mr. Gurman took his master' Degree in Advanced International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C. (1982), and graduated Cum Laude from Union College, Schenectady, NY (1980). Mr. Gurman is conversant in both Italian and French.
