Biography

Mr. Eugene Mallette served as the Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer at Alpine Air Express. He joined Alpine Air in 1979 as Sales Manager. After successfully guiding the company to profitability as its General Manager, Mr. Mallette subsequently acquired all of the outstanding shares of the company in 1986. Executive, Mr. Mallette continues to have hands-on operational control and is actively engaged in day to day operations of each of the companies divisions. His duties include coordinating flight, maintenance and ground operations and directing aircraft acquisition, business development and long range planning. Mr. Mallette oversees operations of the company from its base in Provo, Utah, with frequent visits to all outstations. With a background in finance and accounting, Mr. Mallette is uniquely prepared to lead the company's continued growth. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Carroll College in 1971, Mr. Mallette practiced accounting and worked as a staff auditor for the state of Montana. Armed with skills acquired in the practice of accounting, Mr. Mallette connected his intuitive business acumen and sound understanding of aviation and built a company that today remains safe, efficient, debt-free, and continues to generate stable growth and profitability.
