Biography

Mr. Paul Watson served as New Business Acquisition Advisor at Digitech Venture Capital Fund. He also serves as a Managing Director at Hermes Investment Group. Previously, he served as a Chief Financial Officer, President & Chief Marketing Officer at MyGO Games Holding Co, and prior to that was an M&A advisor and PE Group Manager for KPMG Corporate Finance in Shanghai, China. He also serves as Venture Partner at Climate Impact Capital. He brings a wealth of experience in finance, corporate strategy, marketing, and executive management to the Fund. He began his career working with technology start-up companies as an advisor to the Houston Technology Center, developing business plans and raising funds for entrepreneurs. He then signed on with KPMG's Corporate Finance team in China in 2005. While working in Asian markets, he put together growth capital deals ranging from $60-100 million, sourcing funds from strategic and financial investors to expand corporate market share and sales growth throughout East Asia. In 2009, Mr. Watson founded Hermes Investment Group, a market research and technology commercialization firm serving clients in Asia and North America, where they specialized in the commercialization of emerging science and technology. He also serves on the advisory board of the University of Houston's Microfinance Institute and SURE Program and is a Kiva Zip trustee. He is a graduate of the University of Houston Bauer College of Business with a bachelor's degree in finance.
