Biography

Dr. Seena Rejal serves as an Executive at Automat Ventures. He serves as Venture Partner at Fraser Finance. Dr. Rejal Founded and served as Chief Executive Officer & Board Member at Shapes (Business/Productivity Software). He holds a Ph.D. in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Cambridge. He joined in 2021 as a Venture Partner. He is the founder and Chairman of Shapes AI, an early-stage AI company in London and Palo Alto, developing ground-breaking 'deep visual reasoning' technology to power video analytics in e.g., smart city and mobility applications. His work has been featured in Forbes, Inc.com, and the BBC, and he has presented internationally at SXSW, WebSummit, CES, DLD, and the Hannover Messe, amongst others. Previously, he worked in the cleantech sector as part of the leadership of two pioneering and disruptive US and UK-based technology companies. Prior to that, he was Head of Technology for the acclaimed Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI), President Clinton's program on mitigating climate change. He worked closely with the global research and technology communities and coordinated with policy and finance leaders to support the accelerated deployment of the most high-impact solutions. He holds M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Cambridge.
