Biography

Mr. Dalton serves as Managing Director, Americas at ISTARI. He serves as board Member at Axio. He served as Senior Vice President & Chief Information Risk & Security Officer at Pactera Technology International. He is an information security and technology executive with over 23 years experience - many of which working within the Fortune 500. Dalton has a proven track record in management as well as a strong technology and security background. Prior to joining Pactera, Dalton was Chief Information Security Officer for Sapient - a global IT services and digital marketing services provider. As Sapient's first Chief Information Security Officer, Dalton developed an acclaimed security program, business continuity, disaster recovery and incident response programs globally to support a burgeoning business which doubled to over $1.4B with over 13,000 employees across 37 offices worldwide. Under Dalton's direction, the company received several external accolades including a perfect score within comprehensive ISO 27001 audits during each of the last three years of his stay. His experience dates back to the beginning of the security profession when he helped develop one of the first firewalls, implemented one of the first global VPN solutions, and developed an early Data Loss Prevention solution in the mid '90's. Dalton began his career at Apollo Computer where he honed skills in multiple UNIX operating system's, architectures and early token ring and Ethernet networking technologies. Mr. Dalton spent years designing large LAN's and WAN's for companies such as Siemens and others while also managing and delivering security consulting services. He has a proven track record in management. In 2002 he funded, founded and managed an information security consulting firm that he successfully grew to a multi-million dollar business over a six year period before selling the business in 2008. He is also a published author & speaker with over a dozen articles and cover stories appearing within leading information security magazines, and a popular security architecture book by Osborne McGraw-Hill. Dalton attended Regis College for studies in Electrical Engineering, Northeastern University for studies in Computer Science, and University of Massachusetts at Lowell for studies in Management Information Systems. Dalton holds professional certifications which include CISSP, CISM, ISMS Lead Auditor/Lead Implementer and is an active member within information security community including organizations such as ISC2, ISACA and ISSA.
