Biography

Mr. Declan Taite serves as Managing Director, Global Restructuring Practice & Co-Country Leader for Ireland at Kroll. He leverages more than 30 years of corporate restructuring and debt advisory experience assisting leading financial institutions, private equity firms, loan servicers, and state agencies in Ireland with ensuring the survival and continuation of viable businesses and delivering solutions that are acceptable to all parties. Declan is recognized as one of Ireland's leading insolvency practitioners. He has acted as receiver, liquidator and examiner in over 500 corporate cases in the past 30 years. His notable clients have included Bernard McNamara Group of Companies, Vantive Holdings & Morston Investments (Zoe Group), Montrose Global Aircraft Leasing, Muckross Park Hotel and as receiver to worldwide assets of certain Sean Quinn family members. Declan's sectoral expertise includes property and development, hospitality, manufacturing and retail. Declan is a founding member and former chairman of Restructuring Insolvency Ireland (formerly The Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners) and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (UK) and INSOL Europe. He is a regular commentator in the national media and at seminars on corporate recovery, restructuring and insolvency.
