Biography

Dr. Yimin Jiang is a Co-Founder and serves as Co-Chief Technology Officer at Availink. He served as Board Member at Kaminario. He served as Managing Partner at CIRTech Fund. Prior to joining CIRTech Fund, he joined Waterwood Group to spearhead its technology-related investments. He started his career with Hughes Electronics as a senior researcher for 7 years before his entrepreneurial initiatives. He founded and was CTO of Availink Inc., a fabless semi-company focused on digital TV and wireless communications in 2005. Availink was ranked No.1 amongst fabless semi-companies in China by iSuppli in 2009 due to its business success. He also co-founded ColorV Inc., which develops ColorV mobile app, a wiki-like video creation community with over 12 million users, and served as its Chairman. He was also a partner at CITIC Capital, one of the largest alternative investment firms in China, between 2012 and 2015. Dr. Jiang authored more than 10 US and international patents. He received Patent Application Award from NASA in the US. He was also the winner of the Science and Technology Advancement Award (1st Class) from SAFRT and was elected into the prestigious "The Thousand Talents Plan" in China. He received BS in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, and an MS and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
