Biography

Mr. Brendan Vaughan served as Venture Partner at Kernel Capital (Ireland). Mr. Brendan Vaughan serves as Venture Partner at Kernel Capital. Brendan worked with Kernel Capital from 2006 to 2009 and rejoined the company in early 2012. His focus is early stage ICT investments. Prior to joining Kernel Capital Brendan led the Bank of Ireland Venture Capital Ltd, which operated the Bank of Ireland Venture Capital Fund which was transferred to Kernel Capital in 2006 at which point Brendan joined Kernel Capital. He has led many investments including the Qumas which was sold to Accelerys, AES sold to Bord na Mona and he was a Director of Straatum Ltd which we sold to Lam Research. Since 2012 Brendan works with Kernel Capital on a part-time basis devoting the whole of his business time. Brendan holds a Diploma in Applied Finance from the Irish Management Institute (1992) and is a member of the Institute of Bankers (1976).
