Biography

Mr. Carl Peterson served as Board Member at Southern Star Central. He served as a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at GE Energy Financial Services. He joined GE Structured Finance Group, the predecessor to GE Energy Financial Services, in 1996, and held a variety of risk and asset management positions within the Power and Oil & Gas sectors through 2001. From 2001-2006, he worked at GE Commercial Finance, originally as a bankruptcy/workout manager, and later in business development originating distressed/special situation financings. Mr. Peterson returned to GE Energy Financial Services as the Oil & Gas Portfolio Manager from 2007-2012, and managed $2.5 billion of equity investments, JV's and senior loans. During 2013-2014, he served as the Debt Origination leader, responsible for growing the loan book of business across energy sectors, domestically and internationally. Prior to joining GE, he served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Engineering Officer and a Submarine Warfare instructor. He holds a Bachelor's of Science in Marine Engineering from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, and a MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
