Mr. Sandy MacPherson serves as Industry Partner, Wellness at Maxim Partners. He is an accomplished CEO with 20 years of experience in the consumer and medical nutritional supplements space. He ran Bristol-Myers Squibb's multi-billion dollar Mead Johnson Nutrition business in Canada and the U.S. growing revenue by $600 million in 5 years, turned around the flagship infant formula business, and introduced 5 new products including Boost nutritional drink and the revolutionary Viactiv calcium chew for women. Since then, he has been the CEO/COO of several smaller, more entrepreneurial companies leading their turnaround and transformation to profitability or successful commercialization. One such company manufactured and marketed an FDA-regulated medical device with companion nutrition monitoring software, and another launched the first medical food for asthma and allergy sufferers based on a proprietary blend of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. He is currently involved in commercialization and go-to-market initiatives for several early-stage dietary supplement and nutraceutical companies in the areas of prebiotics, diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular disease.
