Biography

Mr. Glenn Martin is the Owner and serves as President at Martin Auto Color. He served as a Partner at Schwartz Advisors. He has spent his entire career in the automotive aftermarket. He became store manager of an auto parts store while attending San Fernando Valley State College. He climbed the management ladder within Sturtevant Auto Parts until purchasing majority ownership of the thirty-four-store chain in 1981. After selling the chain in 1988, he was a co-founder of Auto Parts Club. As a senior vice president of Merchandising, Marketing, and Sales he helped the chain open 17 warehouses. Annual sales eventually grew to $175 million under his leadership. After leaving Auto Parts Club he founded Martin Auto Color, Inc, a 13-store chain of Automotive Refinish stores. The Martin Auto Color stores are members of the PPG Platinum network. He has served on the PPG Platinum Distributor Council and was named PPG's Platinum Distributor of the Year for 2006. Martin Auto Color has grown to become one of the largest PPG Platinum organizations in the country. He has also served as an advisor to Santa Clarita National Bank and Security Pacific National Bank and has been active in aftermarket trade associations including ASIA, APAA, and CAWA, and has fulfilled many aftermarket consulting assignments with manufacturers, Warehouse Distributors, and Jobber organizations.
