Biography

Mr. William Wilkins serves as Chairman of Audit and Finance Committee and Board Member at Barton International. He served as Chairman at Green Diamond Performance Materials. He serves as Operating Partner at Pillsman Partners. Mr. William Wilkins serves as Operating Partner at Pillsman Partners. A global leader with extensive manufacturing experience, he serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Barton International, a leading minerals and mining company engaged in the manufacture and distribution of garnet abrasive products. He also serves as an Industry Partner on the Advisory Board of a New York based Merchant Bank. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTI) and President/CEO of Minteq International Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary. Minteq is a leading provider to the global steel industry of engineered refractory materials, on-site furnace/ladle maintenance services, metal purification technologies and laser measurement and control systems. The business has over 1,000 employees, 16 processing facilities including mining operations and 60+ steel mill service locations worldwide. He initially joined MTI in 2007 as Corporate Vice President, Global Supply Chain & Logistics. He has over 25 years of operational and financial management in Fortune 500 manufacturing companies and Tier 1 suppliers serving industries as varied as aerospace, power generation, consumer products, construction engineering and natural resources. He has worked extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, Far East and North America. In 2006 he founded Management Services, a consultancy specializing in advising corporate and private equity clients on strategy, performance improvement, due diligence and acquisition target selection in the aerospace, defense and industrial sectors. Before starting his consultancy, he was president and chief executive officer of Sermatech International Inc., an engineered coatings applicator and specialty process business serving the aerospace and industrial gas turbine industries in North America, Europe and Asia. Sermatech had been part of Teleflex Inc. which designs, manufactures and distributes specialty engineered products to a wide range of industries. He previously served as vice president and chief financial officer of the Teleflex Aerospace Group before his promotion to president of Sermatech and ultimately, leading the spin-off to private equity. Prior to joining Teleflex, he worked for Howmet Corporation, where he served as head of finance and administration for the Aluminum Casting Group, and before that international group controller, Super Alloy Casting Operations. Howmet, previously owned by Pechiney, was part of a highly successful leveraged buyout led by the Carlyle Group in the mid -1990's. After the IPO in 1997, Howmet was acquired by Alcoa in 2000. He earned an MBA from Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts and holds an HND in Business Studies from Greenwich University in London. He is a member of the International Executive Resource Group, the Aerospace Industries Association, the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group and the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME).
