Biography

Mr. Donald McKelvie served as Treasurer at Cordiant Capital. He began his career at Ernst & Young (1967-1973), earning his Chartered Accountant designation. For over 25 years, he has held senior financial and general management positions with several multi-national corporations including Cadbury Schweppes (1975- 1979), Chanel (1979-1987), and Stork (1987-2000). His career includes experience in international sales and marketing and project management, notably as concerns the system design, and the supply and installation of heating, ventilating air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment for the shipbuilding industry. He has direct experience in developing Latin American and Asian markets and overseeing foreign operations (marketing and project quotation, planning, and execution) via his strong team management skills. These skills have granted him a succession of promotions over the years, leading to CFO in 1981 and Managing Director in 1987. He holds a BA from Bishop's University.
