Biography

Ms. Colleen Marshall served as Associate & Senior Attorney at Porter Wright Morris & Arthur. She draws upon decades of a highly successful broadcast journalism career to help guide clients with crisis management and image control, as well as with the legal matters accompanying the use of social media in a business context. Colleen is an Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist whose work has included interviewing key legislative and political figures, among them Justice Evelyn Lundberg Stratton, Senators Portman and Brown, and President Obama. Drawing upon her extensive media career, Colleen is able to bring a unique perspective to litigation. Her experience covers a broad array of litigation matters, including complex antitrust issues, privacy laws and employment discrimination claims. Currently she is part of the Porter Wright team defending an international auto parts supplier in an antitrust matter. Colleen's experience includes serving clients in the telecommunications, natural gas and electric utilities industries, and she has represented clients in both state and federal courts as well as before regulatory agencies. In addition to hosting The Spectrum, a Sunday morning political program, Colleen chairs several philanthropic committees and boards for organizations such as the Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio and the Columbus AIDS Task Force, and she is a founding member of the United Way of Central Ohio's Women's Leadership Council. As a high-profile speaker and presenter she lends her time to the National Association of Women Business Owners, The Ohio State University, the Columbus Metropolitan Club, The Children's Hunger Alliance and the Ohio Women's Bar Association.
