Biography

Mr. David Cohen serves as an Operating Partner at Reinvent Capital. He serves as Secretary at Reinvent Technology Partners and Reinvent Technology Partners Z. He served as Associate General Counsel at Zynga. He served as Senior Counsel at Proskauer Rose. He practice focuses primarily on mergers & acquisitions and private equity investment, with an emphasis on complex change of control transactions, leveraged acquisitions, securities, and asset sales and divestitures, and associated equity and debt financings. He represents financial sponsors, both individuals and consortia, as well as portfolio companies and publicly traded corporations. He has significant experience with portfolio company acquisition and exit transactions, strategic mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests, tender offers, control acquisitions and divestitures effected through restructurings and workouts, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and other sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and Asia. He has advised clients active in numerous industries, including financial institutions and services, insurance and reinsurance, hedge fund, mortgage, student loan, real estate, gaming, airline, cable television, cellular tower, construction, oil and gas, nuclear energy, software, defense technology, manufacturing, and logistics and supply chains.
