Biography

Mr. Luiz Ribeiro serves as Managing Director & Co-Head of Brazil Office at General Atlantic. He serves as Board Observer for Gympass. He serves as Board Member at QuintoAndar, Fluency Academy, DLocal, and Bold. He served as Vice President at General Atlantic. He served as Director at Advent International. He also focuses on the firm's investment activity in Columbia. Before joining General Atlantic in 2016, he worked as a Director at Advent International where he concentrated on the financial services and healthcare sectors while based in the São Paulo and Bogota offices. During his time at Advent, he served on the boards of a number of investments and served as Interim CFO of Atmosfera. He joined Advent International in 2007 from Econergy International, where he worked in its Project Investment and Development area, focusing on the renewable energy and biofuel sectors. While with Econergy, he participated in three investments supporting the deal team on financial modeling and market analysis. He has also been for one year the CFO of Atmosfera Gestão e Higienização de Têxteis S.A, an Advent portfolio company. He received a BA in business administration with honors from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
