Biography

Mr. James Murphy serves as Senior Managing Director, Value Creation Team at LLR Partners. He served as Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer at Greensmith Energy. He has deep experience in financial leadership and operational management for high-growth companies. Most recently, he was COO and CFO at DDC Advocacy, the largest full service advocacy communications firm in the nation, providing SaaS based software and services to the Fortune 500 and major industry trade associations. Prior to DDC, he was EVP and CFO at Cybertrust, a global leader in security services and the largest privately held Information Security Company with over a 1,000 employees in 40 countries. He joined Cybertrust when it had $8M in annual revenue and was instrumental in growing it to over $200M in annual revenue when it was acquired by Verizon in 2007 for ~$500M. Prior to Cybertrust, he held C-level positions at various private and public companies. He has an MBA from the U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business and a degree in accounting and MIS from California State University.
