Biography

Mr. Marshall Kornblatt served as Executive Vice President, Insurance Operations at Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies. As Executive Vice President of Insurance Operations, Marshall is responsible for overseeing all activities relating to the marketing and sales operations of the organization - developing and translating Berkshire Hathaway GUARD's strategic plans into actions designed to accomplish corporate goals. He has direct authority over key disciplines related to this mission such as Home and Regional Office Sales and Communications. By successfully coordinating the activities of these disciplines (including involvement in product development and oversight of advertising, public relations, and other sales support initiatives) and by creating a culture responsive to the needs of customers, he helps maintain Berkshire Hathaway GUARD's growth and revenue stream. He also remains personally involved with key strategic partnerships to ensure the full potential of opportunities is realized in a mutually beneficial way. As Vice President of Sales and Customer Service, Marshall implemented systems to support and monitor company-wide sales efforts through Berkshire Hathaway GUARD's distribution network of independent agents and brokers while ensuring a high level of service. Marshall's sales background is complemented by his computer industry expertise and past experience in managing GUARD's support operations, technology, and management information systems. A few of Marshall's accomplishments include our implementation of a Teleservices Unit and a wide area computer network that links our staff at all local and remote locations. Marshall is a licensed Property and Casualty and Life, Accident, and Health producer. A graduate of Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Marshall holds a Bachelor of Science degree and has successfully completed a variety of advanced, specialized courses. He also serves as Executive Vice President at Norguard Insurance Company.
