Biography
Mr. Jay Kanive is the Founder & serves as Managing Partner at Tonka Capital Partners. Prior to founding Tonka, Mr. Kanive was most recently a Principal and member of the investment team at Wayzata Investment Partners LLC. Mr. Kanive was a Vice President of the investment team at Resurgence Asset Management. Prior to that, Mr. Kanive was an investment banker in the high yield group at Jefferies & Company and prior thereto an investment banker in the global loans group at Salomon Smith Barney. Mr. Kanive graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Finance from Boston College.
