Biography

Ms. Kate McCabe served as Chief Financial Officer at Yellow Wood Partners. She joined Yellow Wood Partners in January 2013. As Chief Financial Officer, Ms. McCabe is responsible for oversight of the financial and accounting operations for the firm. She is responsible for the financial reporting and tax compliance for all of Yellow Wood's limited partnerships. Ms. McCabe also oversees the financial reporting, tax compliance and human resource management of Yellow Wood Partners LLC. Additionally, she is the Chief Compliance Officer and is responsible for all aspects of the firm's federal investment advisor requirements. Prior to joining Yellow Wood, Ms. McCabe has been the Controller for Windspeed Ventures, an investment firm focused on early stage communications, security, media and internet services companies. She also spent time as a consultant in the finance group of Third Rock Ventures, a firm focused on launching new life science companies in the area of disruptive science. Prior to that, Ms. McCabe worked for SV Life Sciences, a leading international life sciences venture capital firm, for nine years, mostly recently as Controller. In her role as Controller, she was responsible for SV Life Science's financial reporting and tax compliance for all SV's limited partnerships and management company. Ms. McCabe began her career at Arthur Andersen LLP in Boston in the High Technology Assurance Practice and holds a B.A. in Accounting and Information Systems from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. Ms. McCabe became a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts in 2002.
