Biography

Mr. Nicolas Ducarre is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Executive Officer & Chief Investment Officer at Spinecap. He co-founded Spinecap in 2017. He is responsible for investments, portfolio monitoring, and business development. From 2008 to 2016 he worked at Oaktree Capital Management ("Oaktree"), a $100+ billion global alternative investment fund manager, most recently as Senior Vice President. At Oaktree, he co-launched the Paris office, deployed over €1 billion of capital in private equity, public equity, and distressed debt, and experienced various board and interim management positions. From 2005 to 2007 he was an Analyst at Lehman Brothers in M&A and Corporate Finance. He has also been a finance lecturer at HEC Paris between 2008 and 2013. He received an M.Sc. in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics in 2005, an M.Sc. in Operations Research from Columbia University in 2004, an M.Eng from Ecole Centrale de Lyon in 2004, and is a recipient of a George Besse fellowship and a Rotary scholarship.
