Ian Branagan General Information

Biography

Mr. Ian Branagan serves as Group Chief Risk Officer and Senior Vice President at RenaissanceRe Holdings. Mr. Branagan joined the Company in 1998 to open the Dublin office, later relocating to Bermuda with additional responsibilities for underwriting risk and modeling across the insurance and reinsurance operations. He also serves as Executive Director at Renaissance Reinsurance of Europe. Prior to joining RenaissanceRe, he headed up Applied Insurance Research Inc.'s (AIR) international activities, which included the development and marketing of AIR's cat models and tools. He also worked in the London market at DP Mann Limited, developing pricing and risk analytics. Mr. Branagan has a bachelor of science degree in Economics and European Economic History from Manchester Metropolitan University.
