Biography

Mr. Matthieu Barthélemy served as Partner at De Pardieu Brocas Maffei. He specializes in debt restructuring, distressed companies and insolvency proceedings, both advising clients and representing them in court, including in the context of international transactions. He also handles commercial, banking and financial litigation matters. He mainly advises financial institutions, investment funds as well as French and foreign industrial groups and services providers. Admitted to the Paris Bar since 1999, he holds a master's degree (maîtrise) in business law from the University of Paris X Nanterre (1998), an advanced degree (D.E.S.S.) in business tax law (1997) and a master's degree in management (1996) both from the University of Paris Dauphine. He joined the firm in 2000 as an associate and was co-opted as a partner in 2007. Matthieu Barthélemy is a member of the Society of Turnaround Professionals (Association pour le Retournement des Entreprises - ARE).
