Biography

Mr. Sheikh Ibrahim AlTouq was the Founder at AlTouq Group. From 1959-1967 he studied Civil Engineering at Universities of Cairo, Egypt and Stuttgart, Germany. Thereafter he studied English at Cambridge, England from 1967-1969. He started his career with the Juffali group in 1970 and retired in 1995 after serving as GM for over 25 years. He was the Chairman of the board of Banque Saudi Fransi from 1988-89 until resigning in early 2011. Sheikh Ibrahim is the former Chairman of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the period from 1988 to 1992. Additionally, Sheikh Ibrahim AlTouq has held many positions in social and charitable organizations in the past, such as: Riyadh Development Authority, Saudi Red Crescent, General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), Saudi German Business council, Saudi American Business council, National Military Industries (Ministry of Defense), Centennial Fund and Prince Salman Center for Social Services. Very well known and regarded in the business and banking community, Sheikh Ibrahim currently chairs or sits on the boards of many local and regional companies. He has been awarded many regional and international awards. In 1998, he was awarded the "Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur" award from the President of France, in recognition of his efforts in promoting Saudi-French business cooperation.
