Biography

Dr. Claire Dietz served as Senior Associate at Taylor Wessing. She primarily focuses on the energy and infrastructure sector and advises domestic and foreign enterprises, sponsors, banks and financial investors with respect to M&A transactions, joint ventures, projects and related financings. Claire's experience includes advising on generation assets (gas, coal, nuclear, renewables), storages as well as transmission and distribution assets. Her main area of practice also comprises regulatory advice such as unbundling, third party access regimes and grid fees. Following completion of her legal studies in Berlin in 2006, Claire obtained a doctorate degree from Humboldt University Berlin in 2009 and a LL.M. degree "International Business and Trade Law" from Fordham Law School, New York, in 2011. Claire has been admitted to practise law in Germany since 2011. She started her career in Linklaters' M&A / Energy team in 2011, before she joined Taylor Wessing in 2013.
