He is the visionary and founder of CBE Companies and led through multiple expansions including the acquisition of several credit service companies and substantial employment growth since purchasing the company in 1986 when there were only 25 employees to over 1,000 employees today. He has served on various committees of the Consumer Data Industry Association, American Collectors Association International, and as President of Medical Dental Hospital Bureaus of America to name a few. Locally he served as a member of the Waterloo City Council for 8 years and currently serves as Chairperson of the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance and is a member of the Governor's Board of Iowa Partnership for Economic Progress. He also founded Leader Valley, an education and business partnership to enable k-12 education in Cedar Valley to go from good to great. He holds a BA degree from Mankato State University.
