Biography

Mr. Dan Abelon serves as a Partner at Two Sigma Ventures. He also serves as a Board Member at Bark, NewtonX, Radar, Bark, and Spruce Up. Mr. Dan Abelon serves as Board Member at Odeko. He co-founded and served as a Partner at VenSeed. He served as a Partner at Edge Harris Ventures. He also is an Angel Investor. He also co-founded and served as Chief Executive at SpeedDate.com. In the past, he was an EIR/ Two Sigma Ventures at Two Sigma. Also, he served board member at Style Genome. Previously, he co-founded SpeedDate.com, a venture-backed online dating service with over 23 million members that was sold to IAC. His expertise includes growth hacking, fundraising, team building, subscription payments, web analytics, mobile product development, and more. Prior to launching SpeedDate, he worked for IBM's Business Consulting Services. He also spent time in Lazard's Technology Mergers and Acquisitions Group and at the World Bank's International Finance Corporation where he sourced investments in agriculture and information technology in the Philippines. He holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He received his BA in Economics and Philosophy from Columbia University, where he co-founded the Columbia Entrepreneurship Club and grew an advertising business called Campus Pages through the University's incubator. He is also a Kauffman Fellow and member of the Manhattan chapter of YPO."
