Biography

Mr. Ng Tee Khiang is a Co-Founder and serves as Principal and Managing Director at Evia Capital Partners. He serves as Board Member at QuantumTX. His role in Evia involves setting the direction and overseeing the operations of the firm. He is also responsible for deal sourcing, ensuring the fund achieves its target returns and the day to day operations of the fund. His major accomplishments include leading the investment in Ezion Offshore Logistics Hub Pte Ltd which to date has achieved a 3X return and leading the investment in Heptagon Advanced Micro Optics, a company that was highly sought after in the precision manufacturing industry. Mr. Khiang was a successful entrepreneur long before he founded Evia in 2004. He was on the receiving end of obtaining financing and strategic guidance from funds and fund managers. He has successfully set up, grown, listed and sold multiple companies, establishing a respectable track record and an extensive network of highly influential individuals. In 1993, he founded a semiconductor equipment company, Vital Technology, which was subsequently sold to Agilent Technologies. Mr. Khiang was also a founding director and chairman of MediaRing (now known as "Spice i2i" following recent acquisition by the Indian Spice Company) which was listed on the main board of SGX in November 1999. In addition, Mr. Khiang was the founding Chairman for Acefusion, a supply chain infrastructure software company which was acquired by Savi Technology Inc. in 2000, and Savi Technology was subsequently acquired by Lockheed Martin in 2005. After the successful sale of his third company, Ace Fusion, he was headhunted to join Venture TDF as a Managing Director, where he further extended his network of entrepreneurs and funds, honed his skills as a fund manager and proved to be an astute investor. He decided to rekindle his entrepreneurial spirit and together with Mr Low, founded the private equity fund, Evia Capital Partners. Mr. Khiang used the bulk of the funds he made from his prior successful businesses in the setup of the fund. Mr. Khiang was highly involved in all portfolios, Evia I, Evia II and Evia III. He was responsible for providing management advice to the portfolio companies, specifically in the areas of strategic management and fund raising. Mr Ng also played an instrumental role in helping Biosensors secure a listing on the Singapore Stock Exchange. Mr Khiang received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering (with distinction) from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Master of Science degree from Stanford University.
