Biography

Mr. Geza Szephalmi served as Managing Director at PineBridge Investments. He graduated with Law and Political Science at Loránd Eötvös University of Budapest (ELTE University). He also completed his post-graduate International Trade studies at the University of Innsbruck (Austria) and International Trade Law at Bristol University (Great Britain). He joined PineBridge Investments in 1998. He was a member of the Supervisory Board of Orzeł Biały S.A. and Małpka S.A. Earlier, he served as a Chairman of the society called Hungarian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HVCA), and then Chairman of the Ethical and Professional Standards Committee created by the society; additionally, he is a member of the OECD Business Advisory Board and a Vice-President of the International Energy Charter Transit Group (international organization establishing a framework for the energy industry). He was also a manager of TriGranit (the largest developer of commercial real estate in Central Europe) and Waberer's (the market leader transportation and logistics group in Central and Eastern Europe) and President of the Management Board of Magyar Hírlap (publishing house of the Hungarian daily newspaper). Before joining PineBridge he worked as a Country Manager of Central Europe Trust and was responsible for opening new offices of this entity in Sofia, Bucharest, and Istanbul. He is a Member of the Supervisory Board at Work Service.
