Biography

Mr. David Knies serves as CSO and Board Member at Drivn. He also serves as Chief Growth Officer at Essential Design. He served as Chief Strategy Officer at Breakaway Innovation Group. David leads the strategy and talent practices at Breakaway, helping clients uncover growth through insight, branding, product, talent, innovation and marketing. Prior to joining Breakaway, he spent over 20 years building high-growth businesses through product and marketing innovation at Adidas, Polo Ralph Lauren, Groove Networks, Hearts On Fire, Reebok, Acclaim Entertainment and SmartPak. David has worked on strategic engagements with over 100 companies of all sizes and growth stages. He proudly mentors teams at TechStars, Bolt, Nike+ Accelerator, MIT Venture Accelerator, Northeastern IDEA, MassChallenge, Seedcamp and is a graduate of the Villanova University School of Business.
