Biography

Ms. Barbara Ard serves as Managing Director & Accounting and Transactions Services Solution Lead at MorganFranklin Consulting. She focuses on advising high-growth companies, and she has led numerous successful initial public offerings (IPOs) and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) readiness projects since joining MorganFranklin in 2013. With more than 25 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), auditor, hands-on IPO expert, and merger and acquisition (M&A) and transaction advisory professional, she astutely blends these competencies with prior startup CFO experience and a seasoned, practical approach to solving urgent business issues for clients. Barbara has deep experience in M&A, financial due diligence, technical accounting and audits, compliance and internal controls, financing options, cash flow management, and policy and process development. Prior to joining MorganFranklin, Barbara served as Senior Managing Director in the Transaction Advisory Services practice at FTI Consulting, where she led projects focused on buy-side diligence for private equity and strategic acquirers, carve-outs and sell-side diligence, preparation and response to purchase price disputes, internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and performance improvement. She also spent 18 years with Deloitte & Touche, most recently serving as Partner in the Accounting and Auditing and Merger and Acquisition practices, and she served as CFO of ServiceBench, a venture-backed software company.
