Biography

Mr. Renard Strautman served as Managing Director at Lion Chemical Partners. For over 20 years, He has provided strategic, valuation, merger and acquisition, and corporate finance advice to companies in the chemical and allied industries, and to investment and buyout funds with positions in these industries. From 2011 to 2013, he was at Lion Chemical Capital as Managing Director, and from 2002 to 2005 and from 2009 to 2011, He served as President of Trumont Advisors Ltd., an independent strategic advisory firm. Trumont acted as in-house M&A advisor for clients such as GE Specialty Materials and FMC Corp. on long-term engagements screening, targeting, and evaluating strategic acquisition opportunities, as well as evaluating non-core operations for divestiture. In addition to his experience at Trumont, He spent 15 years in the chemical industry groups at several investment banks, including as Managing Director at Banc of America Securities and Merrill Lynch & Co. He served as an advisor to Lion Chemical on several projects since its founding, before joining the Firm in 2011. He received an MBA from Columbia Business School and his B.A. from Stanford University.
