Biography

Mr. Daniel Rioux serves as Co-Founder, Managing Partner, Principal & Member of the Investment Committee at Old Ironsides Energy. He serves as a Board Member at Carbon Appalachian Company. Prior to forming Old Ironsides Energy in 2013, Mr. Rioux was Co-President and Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Energy Holdings, where he shared responsibility for all of the company's investment and management decisions with Mr. Morzano. From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Rioux served as Vice President of Liberty Energy Holdings, where he had responsibility for all of the company's investment and management decisions. From 1993 until 2000, Mr. Rioux was employed by Liberty Energy Corporation, a subsidiary of Liberty Energy Holdings, LLC. Mr. Rioux holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from Bryant College and an M.B.A. from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Mr. Rioux is a member of the Investment Committee of Old Ironsides Energy and currently serves as a director of Halcon Resources (NYSE: HK), Axia Energy, Wildcat Midstream Holdings, and Vermilion Cliffs Partners. Mr. Rioux previously served as a director of Petrohawk Energy Corporation from 2004 to 2006 and as a director of Energy Transfer Equity from 2002 to 2006. He also served as a director of the Independent Petroleum Association of America from 2003 to 2011.
