Biography

Mr. Richard Bellis serves as Managing Director at EPIC Investment Partners. Mr. Bellis served as Head of Personal Investing at Butterfield Asset Management. He joined Butterfield Asset Management in April 2012 and is responsible for all aspects of personal investing in Bermuda and Cayman including discretionary investment management, advisory and brokerage services, mutual funds and the retail investment centre. He oversees the establishment of investment policy guidelines, portfolio construction, trading, performance measurement, risk and liquidity management in addition to all other aspects of client relationship management. He also acts as the spokesperson on investment strategy and process, keeping clients up-to-date on market trends, investment opportunities and their potential impact on portfolios. Prior to joining Butterfield Bellis was Managing Director of Baring Asset Management (Channel Islands) for five years following a five year period with Royal Bank of Canada in both Guernsey and London where he was Head of Investments for Royal Bank of Canada Investment Management (UK) Ltd and the Managing Director of Royal Bank of Canada Investment Management (Guernsey) Ltd. Bellis is a member of Butterfield's Group Investment Councils and a member of the Group's Asset Management Executive Committee which sets the strategic direction of Butterfield's investment operations.
