Biography

Ms. Poorva Gupta served as Vice President of Financial and Legal at Zilingo. She served as an Analyst at Elevar Equity. She joined Elevar in 2014 and works with the core deal teams in supporting analysis, new deal evaluation, intelligence research and customer insights. She aims to combine passion and hard work in working towards Elevar's aim of scaling market-based innovations to reach billions, while at the same time learning from some of the most inspiring albeit "disconnected" communities in the world. "I am passionate about impact investing and Elevar because I believe that the effect that poverty and lack of opportunity can have on individuals - socially, economically, financially and behaviourally- is unfair and needs to be addressed." Before joining Elevar, Poorva started her career with the Citigroup Investment Banking Division in Mumbai where she worked for close to two years, as a part of their teams working on transactions across the financial institutions, pharmaceuticals, IT and energy sectors. She graduated with an honours in Economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi.
