Biography

Mr. Michael Hennessey serves as a Partner, Senior Advisor & Investment Committee Member at Unbounded Capital. He serves as a Venture Partner at Driven Ventures. He also serves as a Board Member at Atman Capital Partners. He served as an Advisor & Investor at NXTP Labs. He served as a Selection Advisor at Origo Ventures. He advises and invests with early-stage technology companies in a variety of sectors including Digital Media (Ustream. tv, Dotspotter-acquired by CBSi), Search (IndexTank acquired by LinkedIn), Online Advertising (LongTail Video, Pulpo Media), Social Gaming (Atacama Labs acquired by ngMoco), Cleantech (Principle Power, Greenbiz), Consumer Internet (BlinkBooking, Mon. ki, SocialWire. Knock, GoodPeople), Security and Hardware Solutions (AlphaCard Solutions, SignaCert, Violin Memory) and Financial Platforms (SolarMosaic,0 Hennessey Capital-acquired by Hitachi Capital). He has been an LP investor with Venture Capital funds since 1997 with DCM in Silicon Valley, Highland Capital Partners in Boston, and the newly formed Wasabi Angel Fund. In addition, he was a member of Keiretsu Forum Angel Network for four years in San Francisco. In Latin America, He is a mentor to 21212 Accelerator in Rio de Janeiro, NXTP Labs in Buenos Aires, MexicanVC (before 500Startups acquisition), the investment committee for Chile Global Angels, a panelist with Endeavor in Chile, Uruguay, and Colombia, and represented LAVCA in Medellin, Colombia. He has invested in one founder from Chile, one from Spain, and two from Argentina and is an advisor to another US company that focuses on Latin America. Before 2004, he worked with Inktomi Corporation, Pegasystems Inc., and Oracle Corporation selling enterprise solutions to Fortune 500 companies in the retail, telco, healthcare, and technology sectors. Technology solutions included e-commerce, search, internet, social gaming, customer relationship management, applications, and database software. He has an International MBA from the University of Washington and a BA from the University of Michigan. He has studied and worked abroad in Spain, Mexico, and at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica in Santiago, Chile.
