Biography

Mr. Tom West is an Angel Investor. He served as Associate at InstarAGF Asset Management. He evaluates and structures investment opportunities and acquisitions. Tom brings strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of energy asset valuations, operations and market fundamentals to his role at InstarAGF, including seven years of international experience in the power and utilities sector with an emphasis on structured transactions. From 2006 to 2009, Tom served with Constellation Energy's global commodities group in London, where he was responsible for the origination and evaluation of structured transactions in European power and natural gas markets. In 2009, he joined Alpiq, a large pan-European diversified utility based in Switzerland, where he originated asset-backed business development opportunities and cross-commodity asset optimisations. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Queen's School of Business in Canada.
