Biography

Ms. Mary Jo Hayes serves as Managing Director & Chief Compliance Officer of Legal & Compliance at Mesirow Financial. She also serves as Chief Compliance Officer at Mesirow Financial Private Equity Advisors. Previously she was working with Chicago Investment Group. In this capacity, she provides ongoing compliance guidance and support to the firm's Investment Advisory, Investment Management, Capital Markets, and Investment Banking groups. She is responsible for overall Mesirow compliance with applicable regulatory organizations such as the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodities Futures Trading Commission, National Futures Association, and various other foreign and state agencies. She joined Mesirow in 2011 with more than 25 years of industry experience in operations and compliance. She holds multiple securities licenses and was a former arbitrator with the New York Stock Exchange. She holds a Degree in the Harrington Institute of Interior.
