Biography

Mr. Robert Gourlay serves as Head of International Sales at Fred Alger Management. Gourlay began working with Alger in 2018 and has 27 years of experience, focused on hedge funds, UCITS and institutional mandates. Previously, Gourlay was the Managing Director and Head of Business Development for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Advent Capital. Prior to Advent, Gourlay spent nearly 10 years at RWC Partners, where his most recent role focused on client relationships in Europe and Latin America. His previous experience includes business development at Euronext, sales and marketing at Arcanum Investment Management, and broker dealer roles at REFCO (Germany and UK) and Union CAL. Gourlay completed Officer Training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was commissioned into a British Calvary Regiment. At Radley College Gourlay completed his studies in French, History and Ancient History. Gourlay has also received a Business Management Certificate from the University of Westminster.
