Menno Derks General Information

Biography

Mr. Menno Derks served as Managing Director of Private Equity & Head of Private Equity at Sarona Asset Management. He is responsible for reviewing and negotiating investments in private equity funds. He is an experienced private equity investor in emerging markets, especially in Asia, with both an institutional and development investing background. Prior to Sarona, he served as a senior investment manager and investment committee member at PGGM, a large institutional asset manager for pension funds based in the Netherlands. Prior to PGGM, he worked at FMO, a Dutch development bank where he made investments in Asia, and ABN AMRO Asset Management where he developed investment funds for institutional and private clients. He holds a Masters degree in business engineering from the University of Twente (The Netherlands). He is a CFA charter holder.
