Biography

Mr. Colin Harvey served as Venture Partner at Pan Pacific Capital. He joined iGTM in 2002 and complements PPC's team with his experience in the life sciences and Agribusiness. He has extensive experience working with Agribusiness product development and regulatory compliance, including the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA). During his career, Colin has led multiple businesses to market leadership positions around the world. He is also a skilled agricultural product marketer with a strong understanding of branding and product positioning, having established several major product brands in New Zealand and overseas. From 1985-2007, Colin was the founder and Managing Director of Ancare New Zealand Limited, a major livestock pharmaceutical company. Under his leadership, Ancare became a market leader in the New Zealand Animal Health market against strong multinational competitors. The company has subsidiaries in Australia, Ireland and South Africa and also established an international distribution network for its technologies. In 2007 Colin completed the sale of Ancare's intellectual property and assets to the international animal health products company Merial, in a transaction that established Ancare Scientific, a research center headed by Colin and dedicated to developing products that target specific animal health needs. Prior to Ancare, Colin was the General Manager for Wellcome New Zealand Ltd., where he managed the New Zealand-based medical, industrial and animal health businesses that resulted from the merger of its animal health activities with ICI Tasman. He was also a Director with Animal Health Wellcome Australia Ltd. and was responsible for running their Animal Health business as part of their Global Animal Health team. Colin is Chairman of both the Animal Remedy and Plant Protection Association and New Zealand Agritech Export. He is also a Member of Agricultural and Veterinary Medicines Advisory Council and holds directorships in several technology companies and organizations. Colin has Bachelors Degrees in Commerce from Auckland University and Agriculture Science from Massey University.
