Biography

Mr. Juan Betanzo served as Vice President of Finance at Celsius (Biotechnology). He has more than 10 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, in both publicly traded and privately held companies. Before joining Celsius in 2019, Juan was Senior Director of Finance and Corporate Development at Enzyvant Therapeutics, up until its acquisition by Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma. Previously, Juan worked in diverse strategic and operating finance roles of increasing responsibility at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Travere Therapeutics, and AVEO Oncology, covering areas including clinical, commercial, and business development. Over the past 10 years, Juan's main focus has been on Financial Planning and Analysis and he has been involved in a number of strategic initiatives including acquisitions, divestitures, and follow-on offerings. Juan holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and a Master of Business Administration from F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
