Biography

Mr. Andrew Swaffield served as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at Monarch Airlines. He served as Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin (London). He serves as Chief Executive Officer for Virgin Red - the rewards club for Virgin customers. Previously, he served as a Managing Director, Avios Group (AGL) Ltd - IAG at International Airlines Group (IAG). Under his leadership, Avios launched the new global single currency for International Airlines Group (IAG), which owns Avios Group Limited, and the new Avios brand in 2011. He has over 25 years of management experience in travel, aviation, and airline loyalty gained with Thomas Cook and British Airways (since 1994) where he headed leisure sales in the UK and Ireland, as well as running its travel agency and tour operating subsidiaries. He holds a degree in International Business from IESE Business School - University of Navarra.
